Why was Brutus a patriot?

    Brutus was considered a patriot because the reason of his assassination of Julius Caesar was that he saw his friend becoming a tyrant to Rome and causing toxic ends to his constituents. Although the end doesn't really justify the means, some believe that he is a righteous man after all.
