A narrative is a spoken or written account of connected events as in a story and it usually has a beginning, middle and end. On the other hand, it could be said to have an introduction in which the main elements of the story are listed and then those main elements are then explained in the body of the account and at the end, then conclusions can be made or the results of the interaction of the main elements can be set forth.
