Story (How to kill a mockingbird)

It was published during a time in which the Civil Rights era was formed and was protesting, and the book was written about racism and prejudice (especially towards black people) in the South. So the book, from a child's perspective but with the wisdom and understanding of an adult, speaks on hatred and racism at a time where a group of people were speaking out against hatred and racism.
