Compare and contrast a soliloquy and an aside.

    A soliloquy is not addressed to the audience. For the specific person, it is a private speech for themself. In a soliloquy, the character is alone, I guess you could say, speaking to themself.

    In an aside, the other characters are present with him, but they can't hear him speak. He speaks to the audience.
