Fanny's problem with his suitor Mr. JP is that he might not fall inlove with him and that she is not yet ready to accept her. Therefore Jane Austen gave her advises to her niece that all women falls into this kind of problem, not just she but all of the women. She then, emphasizes the best qualities her suitors has like being amiable and evangelical. Though, at the end of the passage she even advise her niece not to commit farther and not to think of accepting her unless she really likes to love him.
