The increase in carbon dioxide emissions affect the earth's natural cycle of temperature change by increasing the average temperature of the Earth. CO2, together with other greenhouse gases are important in maintaining the Earth's overall temperature. They absorb energy then re-emit this energy. However, too much of these gases would make the temperature of the Earth like Venus since more energy are being emitted. And without these gases, the Earth would have a very low temperature. Specifically, for carbon dioxide, it maintains the amount of water vapor present in the atmosphere. Consequently, the range of the greenhouse effect to the Earth.
