Seasonal changes are caused by the tilt of the earth’s rotational axis as it travels around the sun. The earth experience different seasons because, its axis is not upright; it is titled at angle 23.5. At different times during the year, the southern pole or the northern pole is closer to the sun. The hemisphere that is tipped toward the sun will experience summer while the hemisphere that is tilted away from the sun will experience winter.
