How do traditional methods of mapmaking differ from current methods

    Mapmaking is also called cartography. Traditional methods od mapmaking in the past were influenced and dominated by religious view. (example:Jerusalem was often the center of the map and east was at the top). Also there is difference how they were drawn. Maps were drawn by hand in traditional methods and began to be printed in the 15th century.
