The member of the school board of Little Rock had set a plan to end a policy of racial segregation in its schools, to begin with, Central High School. There were nine young African American students offered to enroll. But Orval Faubus the Arkansas governor announced his disapproval of integrating and called out the Arkansas state National Guard. When the nine students arrived at the school, they are blocked by National Guard on their way of entry causing the nine students unable to enter the school on that day. But then President Eisenhower had sent federal troops to the nine students of Little Rock to protect them and enforce the court’s decision.

The answer is Little Rock, Arkansas.
