Both Krishna and Godavari rivers are extensively used for irrigation. They are one of the biggest rivers in India, and run from the western part of the Deccan Plateau eastwards to the Bay of Bengal. As they go lower an lower in altitude, they are more and more used for irrigation. Unfortunately in a very unorganized way that makes a lot of damage to the water and the whole surrounding area.
