    1. Dessert Biome - Desserts makeup about 20% of the total land cover on earth with little or no rainfall. The four dessert biomes are Hot And Dry Desserts, Semi-Arid Desserts, Coastal Desserts and Cold Desserts.

    2. Aquatic Biome - includes all bodies of water on earth, the Marine Biomes, and the Freshwater biomes.

    3. Forest Biome - Tropical rainforest, Temperate, and Boreal forest biomes make up about 30% of the total land cover on earth

    4. Grassland Biome - massive areas dominated by one or a few species of grass with sparsely distributed trees. The Savannah grasslands and Temperate grasslands.

    5. Tundra Biome - coldest of all biomes which got its name from the Finnish word ‘tunturia’ meaning barren land. The Arctic Tundra is located around the North pole in the northern hemisphere, while the Alpine Tundra located on top of the mountains is very cold.
