Why do you think land along coastal regions is used for manufacturing and trade more than inland areas?

    Manufacturing and trade benefit from coastal regions because it is easier to ship and receive products and materials. Costs of shipments like trucks to ship product is also reduced if the manufacturer is very close to the receiving dock.

    Having water closeby is also beneficial; if the business can use sea or river water in their manufacturing costs are also lower.
