    Polar high is found at the poles of both north and south hemispheres. The north pole high is stronger as compared to the south one as the presence of land in the north is prominent. Polar areas being areas of higher densities with cold winds descending down the areas. Thus this place is influenced by the influx of warm winds brought by the equatorial currents and thus leading to the thermal high-pressure systems. Closely related to poles is polar vertex which is a zone of lar storms. Regions under the polar highs have less frequent rainfall and air flows from these zones to form polar easterlies.
