    Mexicans are from Mexico and Hispanics are people who are from any Spanish speaking country

    Mexican refers to an inhabitant or a native of Mexico which is a Latin American country. Hispanic refers to a person who speaks Spanish or general implies a link to spain or a spanish country in general.
