    B) a denser plate converged with a lighter plate

    Explanation:

Convergent plate boundary is the formation of the deepest ocean trenches in the periphery of the plate margins. When continent plate and oceanic plate move towards each other in the same direction, oceanic plates subducted under beneath the continental plate because oceanic plates are denser ones and continent are lighter plates. If two plates are pulled apart from each other otherwise known as divergent plate boundary, it is the result of ridge formation.
