    Explanation:

    Volcanic ashes are extremely light in weight and bear the ability to stay suspended in the atmosphere for long periods of time and shield the radiations from either side. The radiations reflected back by the surface the earth fail to reach the outer layers of the atmosphere. This process multiplies the heat in the packet that is formed between the clouds of ashes and the surface of the earth and warms up the atmosphere drastically.
