The big island of Hawaii (the eastern-most island in the chain of Hawaiian islands) currently has an active volcano. What is the source of the magma causing this activity? Why do the other Hawaiian islands not have active volcanoes?

    The hawaiian island is unique island located in chain of most active volcanoes on earth, the easternmost Big island consists of 5 major volcanoes in the pacific ocean, which remain active as the rest of the tail islands.

    Explanation:

    The five major islands are Kohala, Mauna Kea, Kailua, Mauna loa, Hualalai there being active and one extinct and one dominant. Because Of these volcanic eruptions the whole island is the main administrative unit and encompasses the entire Hawaiian country i. e 62.7 % of states also this consists of submarine volcanoes and massive ridges.
