Place where an artifact is found is known as archaeological context

    Explanation:

The idea of archaeological context is concerned with the site of artifact presence. The soil, the site type, the layer the artifact was found are all components of the context. To preserve this context, the site must be monitored and put under consistent surveillance. The records consisting of artifacts, biofacts, architecture and cultural information must be registered to detail for future access and assessment from time to time. The cultural and site information must be protected from loss and deterioration. Protective shelters around site where artifacts are found are needed to preserve such artifacts. Reconstruction and reburial of artifacts found may also be needed to preserve them.
