A convergent tectonic plate boundary is a place where two tectonic plates move towards each other in direction which results in one plate sliding below the other plate where the thinner plate is over bidden by the thicker plate.

This whole process is known as the Subduction. The result of the collision of the collision of these tectonic plates can be some geological events like an earthquake, volcano, formation of a mountain and many others.
