What proportion of the Earth's surface water is freshwater found in streams, lakes, wetlands, and ground-water reservoirs?

    70 percent of the earth is water and only about 2.5 percent is fresh water even then only 1 percent is accessible by humans.

    68% is found in icecaps and glaciers

    30% is ground water

    0.3% is found in lakes and rivers

    99% of the earths water is unsuitable for drinking purposes.
