    a) the distribution of fossils

    b) fit of the continents

    d) earthquakes locations

    e) paleoclimate data

    Explanation:

Alfred Wegener was the first person that started to promote the idea that the continents are moving, and that they have been doing so in the past. That has given rise to the continental drift hypothesis.

Even though there was not a lot of support for Wegener about this, he was persistent and was convinced that he would find enough evidence to confirm it. Throughout the years, Wegener managed to find several evidence that he was actually right about the plate tectonics.

Numerous fossils of the same species were discovered at different continents that are now far away. Some of the coastlines of the continents were almost perfect, puzzle-like match. With the nuclear testings it was discovered that the earthquakes are aligned along cracks in the crust, which turned out to be the plate boundaries. The paleoclimate data too showed that in some areas that now are some of the hottest and driest in the world, there were glaciers.
