    Explanation:

    we know that thermal power plant use a lot of water in operation because as we know thermal power plant is power station and it make electric power

    and that is converted into heat energy

    so because of converting heat into power in form of electricity so there is a lot of water is required

    and we know most of heated water is transformed into steam that is rotate the turbine that make electricity

    and

    about 465 gallons of water per MWh to produced by a combined cycle Natural Gas fired power plant and in closed loop it is most expensive as once through cooling

    and we know power plant is using about 60 gallons per kwh it would 435 gallons of required
