    Answer and Explanation:

Both the Rayleigh and love waves are seismic waves. Rayleigh wave demonstrates an elliptical movement. It tends to be longitudinal and transverse. It has relatively lower velocity as compared to the love wave. Its movement resembles ocean wave. The nature of love wave is transverse and it has comparatively higher velocity than that of Rayleigh wave. the motion of love wave in the ground is from side to side. Note that the velocity of the surface wave is in every case not exactly the body wave and is lesser than the body wave.
