If the Moon is close to new (a very waning crescent or just barely waxing crescent), would you be able to see the Moon in the evening (say around 9pm) ?

    Explanation:

    The moon won't be visible at night when close to the waxy crescent because the amount of sunlight reaching the moon then will not be enough to illuminate it.
