    Answer

    Hi,

    Winds are affected by areas of high pressure causing;

    • Clockwise circulation of the winds in the northern hemisphere

    • Counterclockwise circulation of the winds south of the equator

    • The Anticyclonic flow

    Explanation

    Wind moves from places that are colder to those that are warmer. When the distance between places of high pressure and those of low pressures is shorter, winds will blow faster. In a system that has high pressure, the pressure at the center in the highest than the surrounding areas. Winds will move from areas with high pressure to those with low pressures. When this occurs, the winds will move clockwise north of equator and anti-clockwise south of the equator. The winds in a system with high pressure move out clockwise towards the north hemisphere because of the Coriolis effects caused by rotation of the Earth.
