    (A) In a divergent plate motion, the two plates move away from each other. and in the transform plate motion, the two plates slide past each other. Due to these two types of motions, the shallow focus earthquakes are generated without any volcanic activity.

    (B) In a convergent plate motion, the two plates move towards each other. As a result of which the denser plate gets subducted below the less denser plate and creates a subduction zone. Here the partial melting of the subducting plate takes place due to the dehydration of plates and this magma rises up towards the earth's surface forming volcanoes on the overriding plate. This type of plate motion produces deep-focus earthquakes with significant volcanic activities.

    (C) In the region of hotspots and the mantle plumes, where the magma rises from the core-mantle boundary, there will occur significant volcanic activities without any earthquakes.
