What is 1/4 of the way through the Lunar cycle?

From its new stage, the Moon travels through its waxing bow stage until it arrives at its first-quarter stage (supposed on the grounds that it's 1/4 of the path through its cycle). In the primary quarter stage, the Moon shows up half-lit up
