Define supranationalism and devolution. Why do you think that these forces often coexist in the same country

    Supernationalism -

    Supernationalism is the acceptance of interests of more than one state, in order to have mutual benefit and to achieve some shared objectives,

    For example, laws and regulations, political power.

    Devolution

    Devolution is defined as the shift or transfer of some powers from the central government to the regional government. This can caused via the shift in the constitution.

    These two forces often coexist in the same country due to Economic purpose - In case of some economical problems (like oil price and it is shared among the people) then these forces coexist in the same country.
