    We know meteorite impact with also an another name that is shock metamorphism this name is given to it because in this meteor hits the earth with very high speed this is the reason the pre-existing undergone metamorphosed due to pressure and heat. The earth's surface rocks metamorphosed or deformed as a results of impact

    New ocean crust is formed at mid oceanic ridge as a result of hot magma eruption so that contact metamorphism take place due to huge amount of heat generation at MOR.

    The main reason of metamorphosed at mid ocean ridges is heat that is very high temperature.
