3. If a clayey soil has more water content than a sandy soil, is it possible to determine direction of water flow? Why and why not?

    When a clayey soil has more water content than a sandy soil, the direction of water flow is determined as -

    Explanation:

    It becomes difficult, since, clay has a property by which the particles stick to each other very strongly as water is added to it.

    But in case of clayey soil is compact and not loosely kept, now, to determine the flow of direction is easy since the clayey soil makes a compact surface and water flows on it as if flowing on a perfect surface with comparatively less absorption than the sandy soil.
