    Answer: Focused on the war-like ability

    Explanation: Sparta was very powerful city in the times of Greece in ancient times. Retired warriors were the rulers of that city-state and people were trained for the war from the age of 6 years. Almost all citizen in that city were warrior and so they had a army with well defined training form. It was very different city as compared to other Greek states.
