A mineral is a natural compound, which wasn't made my living organisims. Minerals can be solid, and inorganic. They are made only by the earth aka naturaly occured.

1) Native minerals-Gold, Silver, Mercury, graphite, diamond.

2) Oxides-Corundum, hematite, spinel.

3) Hydroxides-Goethite, brucite.

4) Halides

5) Sulfates-Baryte, gypsum.

6) Sulfides - Pyrite, galena, sphalerite.

7) Carbonates

8) Phosphates
