An Antarctic soil differs from other soil because it is formed from volcanic rocks. Andisols are created from the volcanic ash. Materials of Volcano break down and whether to form some of the several productive soils on Earth. Volcanic ash usually holds minerals that are advantageous to plants, and if it is very fine Volcanic ash, it will break down immediately and get mixed into the soil.
