Is this answer good enough to get 4 marks?

If not, could you add more detail to it?

The question is : explain the greenhouse effect.

My answer:

The greenhouse effect is the way in which heat is trapped close to the surface of the Earth by greenhouse gases such as : carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxides. This will then increase the Earth's temperature over the time as the heat, which is trap in the Earth, ca not escape, thus leading to cause various disasters such as thermal expansion and to the ice from land to start to melt, which then could lead to flood as the water level will start to rise significantly.
