    to a service economy

    Explanation:

The countries of Southern Europe, Spain, Italy, and Greece. have been gradually transitioning to service economies in the past several decades. The main reason for this is that these countries are the most attractive tourist destinations in Europe, which is due to their nice climate, long coastlines, beautiful beaches, and lot of historical, beautiful sites. More and more of the population has started to specialize for the service sector, mostly the tourism because of this, and rightly so, considering that this is the sector that brings in most of money and offers more and more jobs.
