Explain how rates of wild species extinction have changed since the appearance of modern humans.

It has decreased to a certain extent due to more education and value for animals in the wild. There has been lots of laws passed around the world to support and preserve animals in the wild due to the likelihood of them going extinct as a result of human activities such as deforestation and illegal killing of the animals. Zoos and other conservation centers have also been established to tackle the problem.
