Answer: an effect of deforestation is a decrease in wildlife. animals living in the amazon require trees in order to eat (animals like prey who eat leaves from trees) if these animals are left without food they will die from starvation and eventually go extinct. these animals who are preyed on by predators will cause the predators to have limited food sources due to their prey going extinct.
