What is the souce of mechanical energy

    Mechanical energy is the sum of potential and kinetic energy in an object that enables that object to do work (I. e. move or displace another object in some way). Energy can not be created or destroyed, only transferred, so mechanical energy is only possible in objects that are able to do work (like a waterwheel for example).
