Read the text and say what you think of the pessimistic forecast. Should we be so pessimistic? If not, give your counter-arguments. A Pessimist's View of the World in the Year 2030 - Man over the years has exploited the Earth to such an extent that he cannot survive much longer without some form of radical change. He has drained of the Earth, his home, most of its natural resources: oil, coal and many minerals, and what is left can only have a short life span. In search of food he has poisoned the land with chemicals. The result is disastrous for wildlife and eventually mother nature must retaliate and wage war on man. Soils have been maltreated and it will take years to return to their former strength. There is no way back! The damage has been done. Our Earth which once wore a gay and laughing face is now rapidly becoming an empty, rattling, decayins.

After reading this text. We shouldn't be pessimist, the reasons? the human being evolved for thousands of years and developed knowledge to easy its life in his earth as much as it is possible. The human being will think and solve the problems we have.

    Explanation:

The reasons behind the answer are that in the first place the human been is the perfect machine to solve problems. It has solved many of them and it continues to do so, it also anticipates preparing strategies to solve them before they are present. However we can't only be positive, we have to act in our way. If we know cars consume gas, we go for an electric one, if we know meat is a huge source of pollution and global warmth we stop eating it and replace it with synthetic healthy products.
