There are four spheres on the Earth, lithosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and the prairie dog interacts with all of them.

Lithosphere; the prairie dog uses the lithosphere for living and hiding (inside the ground) and for searching food and mates on the surface of the land.

Biosphere; in here we can include the interactions the prairie dog has with the members of its own species, but also with the living organisms it uses as a food, and the living organisms that are a threat to it and it avoids them.

Atmosphere; it uses the atmosphere in the way that it uses the oxygen for breathing and thus living.

Hydrosphere; the prairie dog is not a big fan of the the water surfaces, but still it uses small amounts of water for drinking so that it can survive.
