A closed lake has "no outlet stream". This is how the closet Lake differ from an open Lake .

    Explanation:

Open lakes, as the name says, are open to other water bodies. This allows the lake to drain the water in it into the other, generally the larger water body that it is connected to. On the other hand, closed lakes are literally closed and are not connected to any other water body. The water from these lakes has no other way out other than evaporation.

An open lake is a lake where water constantly flows out under almost all climatic circumstances.

In a closed lake, no water flows out, and water which is not evaporated will remain in a closed lake.
