What types of political systems are found in East Asia?

Democratic and Communist governments exist in East Asia.

Here "East Asia" includes the three nations/five states in Northeast Asia (China, Taiwan, both South and North Korea, and Japan) plus Singapore and Vietnam. They are all under Confucian and Sinic influence, and one may assume that this category is essentially cultural.
