    -Though it was mostly a men's job some women did work in factories

    -On average factory workers only made 12.98 per week for 59 hours of work

    -In the early 1900's children as young as 5 or 6 could work in factories

    -Factories were still a very dangerous environment and there were not many laws protecting the workers.
