    1) There's a big difference in what's expected from women and men regarding responsibilities for care and housework. Unpaid care work is still not considered as a problem, leaving women with less time to dedicate themselves to actually paid work to be providers as well as men.

    2) The lack of proper education about reproductive health leads to poor knowledge of contraception and therefore a high rate of unexpected pregnancies. Women are the ones who carry most of the responsibility on that pregnancy, whether they want to go through it or terminate it, and after the child is born are women are the main caregivers, leaving no space for professional development.

    Explanation:

    3) Men are socially expected to be providers for their family, while women are expected to become a stay-home mom, or keep their jobs while still having the most responsibility on their children care, at the cost of female professional performance and development.

    4) The social acceptance and/or disregard of gender-based violence makes actions to fight such a problem with proper institutional and judicial means, leaving many women completely subordinated to a life of isolated brutality.
