    Explanation:

Surface current simply refers to the stream of water current that continuously flows over the ocean water body. It is primarily caused due to the blowing wind, Coriolis force and due to the differences in the density of the water column within a water body.

These current are responsible for the global distribution of heat energy, thereby resulting in various climatic condition in different regions of earth.

Out of the total 100% of ocean water body, only 10% of it is involved in surface currents.

    Explanation:

An ocean current refers to the constant, persistent flow of marine water caused by a variety of effect of gravity on the surface, namely wind, the Coriolis impact, mossy rocks, cabbing, and variations in temperatures and alkalinity. Scale contours, coastline shapes, and connections with the other tides affect the path and frequency of a stream. The weather patterns are mostly horizontal flows of water.
