There are many reasons why retired people move out of cities. One could be that they're slowing down as they age so it could be harder and even dangerous for them when walking around busy city area's.

Another reason could deal with how much it may cost to live in the city. For some retired people it could be harder to afford to live in the city area so they might move out of the cities to where housing prices may be lower.
