Identify and describe three types of faults

Normal faults: When the hanging wall drops down. When the forces are pulling the sides apart.

Reverse faults: When the hanging wall moves up. When the forces reverse and create compressional faults that push the sides together.

Transcurrent faults: Walls that move sideways and not up or down.
