How is an ocean current similar to a roller coaster

    As the dense water sinks, it allows more water to move in, cool, and sink to the bottom behind it. Eventually this cold water warms and is pushed to the surface where it starts the cycle again. Following this deep ocean current would be like riding a roller coaster that takes thousands years from start to finish.
