There are multiple factors that can define one's ethnicity or race, and while for the ethnicity it is the more the cultural aspect and the society that are defining, for the race it is the physical features that are defining.

The ethnicity represents a set of language, history, ancestry, society, culture, nation, that an individual is having in common with some group of people and make the individual identify itself with that group of people, and it is something that is usually given from birth.

The race on the other hand, is defined by the physical characteristic of the individual, and occasionally by the social qualities, that are the same or very similar at a particular group of people.

Examples of ethnicity: Macedonian, Estonian, Maori, Egyptian, Iranian ...

Examples of race: Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Negroid, Australoid, Capoid.
