Perimeter of a rectangular garden is 32 feet. The length is 3 times the width.

What are the dimensions of the garden?

    the equation would be (3w+w) 2=32.

    this means you add 3 times the width p, us the width (length plus width).

    this becomes 6w=32.

    w=5 1/3.

    l=3w

    l=3 (5 1/3)

    l=16
